PwC, MBM and Acorn Partners hosted a "Harvesting and Leveraging your R&D" event on June 18 at the Hampton Inn Conference Center in Ottawa.
The presentation and roundtable discussion focused on the following:

· IP Strategies for SR&ED Claimants
· Using SR&ED claims to fund your business
· Benefits of SR&ED accrual financing
The three presenters are Kent Smith (PwC), Alistair Forster (MBM Intellectual Property Law) and Malcolm Williamson (Acorn Partners). A 1:4 ratio between 3 presenters and management, technical, financial personnel responsible for making SR&ED claims from 11 companies offers the attendees plenty of opportunities to engage in open discussions with industry experts.
